A few simple questions to your potential Realtor can shed some light on what you can expect during the transaction. As a Realtor, I am keenly aware that not all Realtors operate the same way. If I were to interview an agent to sell my home, below are the questions I would ask.
Interview Questions:
- Are you a full-time agent?
- How long have you been selling real estate?
- Do you have any testimonials or references you can share?
- How many homes did you sell in the last 2 years?
- What percentage of your business is listings?
- What is your response time for phone calls?
- Do you hire a professional to conduct a staging consultation?
- Do you hire a professional photographer to take photos for your listings?
- Do you provide a website to each home? May I see an example?
- What is your price strategy?
- What is your average sales to list ratio for your listings?
- What is your average days on market for your listings?
- How do you keep your sellers up to date with market conditions?
- How often do you communicate with your clients?
- How do you market your properties?
- Do you provide sales plan?
- Do you have any special certifications?
- What do you think the unique selling proposition is for this property?
- How long do you think it will take to sell this property?
- Do you guarantee your service and can we cancel at any time if we are dissatisfied?
